I Start Tomorrow!

I'm so excited! I'm going to my first Weight Watchers meeting tomorrow! My friend told me that they weigh you in front of everyone at the meeting. Is this true? That's the only thing that I'm nervous about. I already hate having to get on the scale at my doctor's office, but having to get on one with an audience is scary! Well, I hope she was wrong! Wish me luck tomorrow and enjoy your weekend!

You weigh in in front of everyone, but they don't announce your weight or anything. The worst they will really do out loud is comment if you had a good week. If you lost 2 pounds, they might say it out loud, but nothing bad. And your actual weight is recorded in your book and not said.

Good luck with WW! I hear it's a great program that really works!

You don't weigh in IN FRONT of everybody... you weigh in where only the person weighing you can see the numbers on the scale. The centers are often different, so sometimes you go into a little partitioned off corner, sometimes it is a big open space, but NOBODY can see the numbers, not even you... and the receptionists are usually really good about not even giving any indication whether you've lost or gained (I mean, unless they know you -- I've been going so long that I know them all and so sometimes I'll joke around if I know i'm going to gain and be all, "oh, I saw that coming!" or whatever).

GOOD LUCK... I truly believe that WW is the only smart, safe, sane, healthy way to lose weight... 75 lbs and counting!
